Official says no need in deals on stabilization of fuel prices

TVER, May 26 (PRIME) -- There is currently no need in agreements with oil companies to stabilize fuel prices similar to those that were signed in 2018, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Wednesday.

“This is one of the tools that theoretically could be, but right now we haven’t used it because there was no need. And at the moment I don’t see it either,” he said.

Companies supply enough oil products to the bourse, and also have formed fuel reserves, which were recommended by the government and the Energy Ministry, he added.

Novak also said he will hold a meeting devoted to the situation on the Russian fuel market next week.
